Redditch

In which resolution will my VHS be digitised?
We convert your VHS videos to digital in the same resolution as recorded. Depending on the cassette type, the resolution can vary.
Can my recordings be improved afterwards?
Yes, with our post-processing service we can reduce noise and artifacts and improve colours and contrast.
Can purchased video cassettes also be converted?
No, that’s not possible due to copyright reasons — unless if you have permission in writing from the author/creator.
Can you digitise only selected sections of my VHS?
Yes, we just need the exact start and end time stamps.
Can I transfer VHS tapes with copy protection to digital?
Yes, you can convert video cassettes with copy protection to MP4, but not to DVD.
Can longplay cassettes be converted?
Yes, we charge depending on the video duration in real time.
What’s the difference between converting to DVD and to MP4?
If you transfer your VHS to DVD, you can easily play it in a DVD player. If you convert your VHS to USB, it will be saved as an MP4 file, which can later be edited, copied, or shared with your loved ones.
How much disk space is required for converting VCR tapes to digital?
A 90-minute cassette requires about 6.5 GB of disk space. S-VHS or Betamax cassettes require about double that.
Why is it more expensive to convert VHS to USB?
When we convert your VHS tapes to USB, we save them as MP4 files. Due to the more complex procedure and subsequent quality control, it takes much longer than converting to DVD. That’s why we charge a higher price.
Why can S-VHS cassettes only be converted to MP4 files?
S-VHS is already a digital format, so it only can be converted to MP4.
How can I edit the videos afterwards?
If you want to edit the videos, make sure you convert your VHS to USB. You will receive the tapes from us as MP4 files and you can later edit them with free programs. There are many of them available on the market.
